The test kits that we actually used to detect HIV antibodies in the human blood or plasma are not a direct method to look for HIV (virus). When HIV enters to your blood stream or your body, your immune system is to developing specific proteins that called HIV antibodies to HIV. The presenting HIV antibodies in the blood are almost 3 months and 6 months in rare cases of HIV infected people. If you are getting tested before 3 months, the result is not clear and they called this recent infection period as “window period of HIV infection”. However you make sure any unprotect sex or exposed to HIV infection are stopped before decided to get test in next 3 months.
