The best way to make sure your patch is reviewed and evaluated is to file a bug on Gnome’s bugzilla server, specifying the gnome-python product, pygtk component. The link to file a new bug directly is here: [bugzilla.gnome.org] Patches should be sent in the unified diff format (the -u flag). A good set of flags is -urNp — look up man cvs if you’re curious. It’s a good idea to produce the patch against the CVS version — see FAQ 1.3 for information on getting pygtk from CVS. Patches sent to the mailing list may be reviewed and checked in, but they may also be deleted without reading when the maintainers are too busy. Use bugzilla to be on the safe side and make sure your work is not wasted.
