i9c300When and where will the Post LPN BN clinical practica be offered?
At the present time, all clinical practica will be offered in the province of Alberta. Students must be prepared to relocate for clinical experiences. There is the possibility that some of the practica may occur in larger centers such as Edmonton and Calgary, however there is no guarantee. There are many factors that need to be considered when offering clinical experiences, the number of students who have completed all the necessary clinical course pre-requisites, institutions that are prepared and able to accommodate students, the ability of institutions to facilitate students meeting the course objectives, and availability of clinical instructors/field guides/preceptors, to mention but a few. It is the intention of the Centre for Nursing and Health Studies to offer each clinical course at least once per year. Depending on demand, additional sections of clinical courses may be added.
