ICT Capability involves knowledge, skills and understanding in all themes of the National Curriculum for ICT. ICT Capability consists of a rounded development in the four themes so that a pupil can: ” Recognise in which situations the use of ICT is sensible ” Use ICT appropriately in such situations ” Evaluate the effects of that use ” Know and understand the range and purpose of applications of ICT, and be able to evaluate their effects on individuals and society (Birnbaum I.
