Id like to know more about programming Windows. Where can I get more in-depth information?
Clip-4-Win uses function names which are identical to or very similar to the real Windows API function names, so you can benefit from the many books about Windows. Many of them are in their second or third editions, and have been reviewed favourably. We recommend “Programming Windows 3.1” by Charles Petzold, Microsoft Press, ISBN 1-55615-395-3). Although the examples are in C, this nonetheless provides a strong reference to the Windows environment. This is certainly the classic work on Windows. If you can read German (not me, sorry!), I’m told that an even better book than Petzold’s is “Windows Programmierbuch” by Marcellus Buchheit, Sybex (1992 Duesseldorf), ISBN 3-88745-949-0 (approx 1100 pages).
