If an organization (typically a landlord) requests a Certificate of Insurance, or requests to be included on the policy as a “named insured”, how is that handled?
A – There is a nominal service charge ($35) for a Certificate of Insurance or to add one or more “named insured” to the policy, as long as the coverage requested does not exceed the coverage limits of our policy. Send your request, in writing, to RAC Headquarters, who will forward it to the insurer. Expect a response time of three to four weeks. A binder cannot be issued in the meantime, so please anticipate those requirements well in advance.
