If I can see the “REDZONE” SSID when using my laptop equipped with 802.11 wireless card, can I connect without using the RedZone supplied wireless bridge?
Yes, you can establish an account and connect using your existing WIFI gear. However, we need to stress that most Wi-Fi enabled laptops are intended for very short-range (<300') communication, and may not provide a consistent network connection. In order to ensure the best possible signal and performance, we strongly suggest that you contact us so that we can supply you with one of our long-range wireless bridges.
RedZone recommends the Ubiquity Nanonstation2 client bridge to improve signal strength and maximize throughput and performance to your computer.
