While STRS Ohio can handle negative payroll reports, we are unable to process automatic wire transfers back to employers at this time. If an employer transmits a negative payroll report, the contribution payment due with the next payroll may be adjusted by subtracting the negative amount, or STRS Ohio can issue a check to the employer. • I understand that payroll reporting was created so that teachers who elect the Defined Contribution Plan or the Combined Plan would have their member accounts updated on a timely basis.
