To answer this question, we purchased four commonly available Astragalus extract products and had them tested to verify how much, if any, TA-65 is present. In all four cases, the testing lab could not detect any TA-65. Their assay is accurate to one part per million. This is not surprising because the TA-65 molecule, while present in the Astragalus plant, is very rare. It literally takes tons of the plant material to make a small amount of pure TA-65. If TA-65 is licensed from Geron, and recently UCLA tested Geron’s best Telomerase Activator, called Cycloastragenol. Some would assume TA-65 to use Geron’s best… however, because know one knows what TA-65 really is, you could be buying Geron’s worst performing activator.
Why not simply get Cycloastragenol in the first place? If you buy standardized Astragalus, you may need to take more than 22 grams a day to get around 5mg of Cycloastragenol.
You can always google "Cycloastragenol", and find it in a capsule, a definite alternative to taking 22 grams of astragalus a day.
