If tax documents are faxed or mailed to CMU, instead of being mailed to the CSS IDOCS Processing Center, what happens to them?

CMU will accept them and hold on to them. However, we will not enter them. We will send the student an e-mail explaining that we have received tax documents, and request that he/she submit the tax documents to CSS following regular IDOC instructions. Using this standard approach will ensure that data is entered in a consistent manner and we receive the document images.
