There is no reason why the mooring area in Mangles Bay could not remain. A marina would provide Rockingham boat owners with a choice of continuing to use a mooring or moving to a marina pen. Currently boat owners have no choice but to use a mooring. More environmentally friendly moorings may be appropriate to address scouring caused by ‘swing’ moorings.
