The Rockford Symphony serves up to 10,000 young people per year through programs such as the Rockford Symphony Youth Orchestra (RSYO), a performance ensemble for young people, Symphony Goes to School (RSO musicians demonstrate their instruments for 3rd & 4th grade classes), The RSO Woodwind and Brass Quintets, and Youth Concerts (hour-long concerts specially designed for 5th & 6th grade audiences).
