Im new and would prefer meeting everyone else socially before attending an event?
We’ve heard from many guys who are hesitant about joining a new group. It’s normal. You just don’t know what to expect! GO is full of fun-loving guys who want to GO Outdoors and Make New Buddies (that means you!) The best way to ‘get your feet wet’ is try to get to know other members online and eventually sign-up or run a simple event, like a light walk or nature walk. We are encouraging members to host a “Happy Hour” at a local bar; this is a fabulous way to meet fellow GO members. If you are new to doing stuff outdoors in general, ask questions in our forum. Although we’re not experts, we’ll share our experiences with you and tell you what’s worked for us. And we have lots of helpful articles you can read at our website as well. New guys show up at our activities all the time, and we always do our best to make them feel at home and welcome. Well, YOU ARE WELCOME after all! GO relies on your input and participation.
