Throughout the year, Legal Aid NSW offers a civil law fellowship in partnership with the University of NSW which is open to applicants who are studying at University of NSW. Details of the fellowship are advertised on the University of NSW website as opportunities arise. In 2008 Legal Aid NSW will be offering two Practical Legal Placements to Aboriginal law graduates. This will comprise a paid PLT placement followed by a short-term temporary placement as a Legal Officer. In 2008 Legal Aid NSW will also be offering cadetships to Aboriginal students who are studying law at university. Detials of these programmes will be placed on the Legal Aid NSW website in 2008 as well as being advertised on www.jobs.nsw.gov.au, in the press (Sydney Morning Herald, Daily Telegraph, Koori Mail, National Indigenous Times) and through tertiary institutions.
