The error message indicates that iGuidance either cannot open the COM port, or if it can open the COM port, it cannot detect GPS signal. Many possibilities: 1) Make sure your GPS receiver is working properly. 2) Make sure the USB-to-Serial bridge driver provided by your GPS manufacturer is installed (for laptop users). 3) Check the COM serial setting of your GPS unit and make sure it matches the one selected in your iGuidance. 4) Sometimes GPS manufacturer provides its own GPS software. If you loaded that software, make sure it’s not running when you try to run iGuidance at the same time. Otherwise, both software will conflict w/ each other. 5) Check to see if any of your other utility software (WI-FI, infra-red) isn?t active and trying to access the same COM port as iGuidance. In most cases, Auto-Detect works fine (but not available on wm5 devices). However, if the bluetooth dongle assigned the Bluetooth Serial Port to COM16 or above, it may not work property on older version of iGuid
