Because they are part of the HTML contents. If you miss them on an extract they will not be included. To remedy that click Copy over the image on the browser menu (Edit : Browser menu in case your SuperMemo menu pops up). Press Esc to make sure you are not pasting back to the HTML component. Paste the image from the clipboard to create a separate image component.
