I’ve read the history on the pikes, yet most of it seems a bit lacking in depth. Additional theories and opinions would be nice, as well as some Dev input perhaps. maRaider: The primary concern of the Order is efficiency. Enhancement of the less-than-eager has a very low success rate. Moreover, we do not enhance people to make them worker-drones… we enhance them to make them warriors. If we conscripted every Pike out there, only a small portion would survive augmentation. We’d then have to pull front-line combatants out of the fray to run the mines. Pikes like to mine; it’s their passion. Bending their passion to our purposes has drawbacks, but is, at present, calculated to be the most efficient method. The nanosecond that efficiency demands their wholesale enhancement, no force on earth will be able to prevent it. ultra_violence: I mean I understand the Bio Meks being angry at the Humans but why are they still mad at the Mutants? The only reason they were fighting them in the first
