In Symantec Endpoint Protection and AntiVirus Corporate Edition for Windows, how do I create a new scan?
• Open Endpoint Protection. In the left window, click Scan for threats. • Click Create a New Scan. • Select Custom Scan, and then click Next. • Check the drives you wish to scan. To scan a specific file or folder, click the + (plus sign) to expand the drive containing the folder or file, and browse until you have located the specific file or folder you want to scan. Click Next. • You will have several options for customizing your scan. To scan the selected drives and folders using the default scan options, click Next. • You will have the option to schedule this scan to run periodically, on every startup, or on demand. Choose the desired option, and then click Next. • Enter a name for the custom scan, and then click Finish. • The new scan should now be visible in the Scans list. Right-click the new scan and select Scan now to start the scan.
