In WAVE, does the residual exist in the burned, or unburned zone?

0

In a wave 2-zone combustion model, after the first cycle, any residuals trapped during compression will be in the unburned zone at the start of combustion, and will be gradually carried over to the burned zone during combustion. During the first cycle all residuals are in the burned zone and only fresh charge is in the unburned zone.
