Infant near asthma wake up near brown fluid around his mouth. What does this be going to?
The fluid is a dark brown color and sometimes it’s dried around his mouth….kinda looks like someone who was ingestion chocolate. Answers: I do have thoughts on the matter, but gosh, I sure hope I am wrong. It is possible that it could be blood. There are certain lung diseases including types of interstitial lung disease that can lead to a child’s lungs to bleed. It also could be vomit, I suppose. Either way, something is definitely not right, and take it from a mom who have been to hell and back with my own kids. I merely don’t buy the asthma diagnosis. Take him to the pediatrician, and get him referred to a pediatric pulmonologist immediately. ve a 3 year aged (almost 4) daughter with a form of interstitial lung disease. I also have 3 other boys, 2 of which are asthmatics. I am also a nurse, so it is safe to articulate that I have encountered my fair share of respiratory crises. I would be relaxed to talk with you and help point you surrounded by the right direction with your son. F
