Is a facility obligated to disregard a residents 14-day notice if the resident wishes to withdraw it?

The purpose of the 14-day notice is to allow the facility the opportunity to make any kind of arrangements necessary as a result of the resident leaving the facility. Once the notice has been given the facility may arrange for the admission of another resident who will occupy the bed to be vacated. The facility is not under an obligation to disregard the notice if the resident decides not to leave unless stated otherwise in the resident contract.
