Is A Grade 8 In Music Equivalent To A GCSE In Music?

0

GCSE has no UCAS points at all – it’s too low a standard. Grade 8 music pass gets 55 UCAS points all on its own – just less than a D in A level. The performance level you need for GCSE is about grade 4. You need to talk to your teacher about taking grades. Being able to scrape through grade 8 standard pieces is a LONG way from being able to pass the exam.
