Is a Lawnbott Robot Mower safe?
The Lawnbott is designed to meet strict US and European lawn mower requirements. It stops when picked-up. If it bumps into a person or a pet, it does so gently and goes in a different direction. The blade is far inside the shell for added safety. A blade guard covers the blade. Lawnbot is the only robotic lawn mower that has been approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Since humans are not generally near the Lawnbott while it is mowing, it is safer than a standard push mower. Nevertheless, the blade is sharp and common-sense cautions should always be used, like turn off your Lawnbott before picking it up, etc.
