Is a snake a invertebrate or vertebrate?
snakes are not absolutely an invertebrate. They do somehow retain some features that a vertebrae has. The bone structure of a snake consist of a firm skull, side ribs much like a vertebrae that are closely assembled together and a small bone in the tail region. Snakes do not have a back bone or spinal column, and because of that feature they are able to get around in that gliding motion and consume their prey through muscle movement along their rib cage….. Snakes can be considered vertebrate, because despite not having a spinal column, they do possess other bone structures that a vertebrae would normally have.
