This is a loaded question for a vocalist! The best way to avoid conflict is to be well in touch with yourself and your health and know if it is appropriate for you to cancel your vocal coaching 24 hours in advance. This can be important learning for a professional vocalist, sometimes it is a tough call whether to cancel a show or not. However, if we do make the wrong call, it is not the producer’s fault! Neither is it a vocal coach’s responsibility if you are not in shape for your session on a given day.
