Is a UCB postdoc/grad student/researcher eligible to serve as a PI on a seed grant proposal?
A. PIs on seed grants must be able to act as PIs on grants submitted through OCG. This determination is made by departments and schools, not by RASEI. In case there is a question, ask the chair of your department or the dean of your school if s/he is willing to tell OCG that you can serve as PI on grants. If so, you are eligible to act as PI. If not, you will need to find someone else to serve as PI on the project.
