Is American Border Patrol a target?
According to CBS Evening News November 12, 2008 — drug cartels are kidnapping and torturing people inside the United States. Phoenix has become ground zero with more kidnappings and home invasions than any other city. CBS reports that this year alone Phoenix has seen 266 reported kidnappings and 300 home invasions. “Law-enforcement sources say the kidnappings signal the brutal expansion of the raging Mexican drug wars spilling across the border,” CBS reported. CBS also reported that the FBI expects violence to escalate, including the possible use of hand grenades. “They (FBI) say it’s only a matter of time before innocent civilians are caught in the crossfire.” Recently construction crews working on the border fence have been threatened and even fired upon.
