Yes, every student must take an entrance exam for admission. We offer the High School Placement Test, (HSPT) also referred to by some schools as the Catholic Entrance Exam or the Archdiocesan Exam, Austin’s HSPT School Code is 40. Austin is also a member of the SSATB. While we do not offer the SSAT on site, we do accept the scores from the SSAT, our SSAT School Code is 1439. We will also accept scores from the ISEE for both Middle and High School applicants. An entrance exam is required for all prospective students who plan to enter grades 6, 7, 8, or 9. The dates for the 2010 exam are scheduled for Saturday November 13th and Saturday, December 11th. The exam may be taken at Austin Prep or at any official testing site within the Archdiocese of Boston (most Catholic secondary schools offer the exam.) Students applying for grades 6, 7, and 8 must test at Austin as this is an exclusive exam administered by the School. The Middle School exam is offered with the understanding that students
