If you are not a resident of Texas and have proof of passing a boater education course in another state is accepted by the TPWD. • Boaters with a current Coast Guard Boat Operator License. Boaters such as guides and barge operators who hold a current Coast Guard Boat Operator License are exempt from the requirement.
