Yes. Most of beaTunes is written in Java, which will run with the native JVM installed on your system. Some parts are native code built as 32 bit universal binary.

beaTunes 2.1 is still built as universal binary. However, since hardly anyone still uses a PPC Mac anymore and Apple dropped PPS support with Snow Leopard, we dropped official support for PPS as well starting with beaTunes 2.1.
