Is bulletproof clothing really bulletproof?
Bulletproof clothing is actually “resistant” to bullets. What that means is the motion of the bullet will be resisted until it stops. But the bullet will still penetrate the clothing up to about 1-1/4″ which could still cause trauma to the wearer. With something that is is actually bulletproof, like armored steel, the bullets would bounce right off.
