Is calculus used in social and cognitive psychology?

It depends on whether you are going to take a quantitative focus in grad school or not. If one of your interests is gaining as much knowledge of statistical procedures as possible (as mine is) you would probably benefit greatly from a knowledge of calculus, as many of the more advanced statistical procedures you will learn will requires some calculus. That said, in general, you won’t be doing hugely complex computations by hand, we have software for that now. So it really shouldn’t be a problem.
