Is class scheduling part of the initial project vision?
Yes, class scheduling is part of the initial project vision. When a section is created, the user has the ability to select an open/available room to assign the section. Once the space is assigned to a section it will not show as available for any other section or event that falls within the same day or time. If a user makes a room entry without selecting it from the available room option (i.e., the user just enters the building address and room number), the system will check to make sure the room is not in use. If it is in use, a message comes up stating there is a room conflict. However, if it is necessary to double-book the room, it is possible to override the room conflict error and the room then becomes double-booked. There is also an online room matrix where users can search the system to see what is scheduled into the room. The matrix will include all sections and/or events.
