Is code P0300 bad?
Took my ZO6 to Carolina Motorsports Park for the Turn One track day Saturday. Car ran fantastic until deep in my 5th session, noticed the DIC flashed (couldn’t look at it at the time) then CEL came on. Car felt fine, so ran out that session but ramped it back a bit. Parked the car to pack up. The car started fine, but was idling a bit rough. On light throttle, steady-state cruising at any speed (city or highway), it bucks noticeably, but runs great at WOT! The car has never before exhibited this bucking, stuttering activity. A couple of occasions, it felt sluggish pulling away from stop lights. Fuel milage on the 125 mile trip home was 23.5 hwy, which I think is low. Checked the plugs yesterday – they’re dark as if it’s running rich, but not spotted. Oil is pristine, as is the coolant. Coolant temp and oil temps never went above 190 and 225, respectively, so don’t think I hurt the head gaskets. Reading the codes reveals a P0300, engine misfire det (is that detected or detonation?)
