Is corporate social responsibility a business-critical issue for Novartis?
It is. Novartis has always taken a lead throughout its history in this area and has a tradition in corporate social responsibility issues. We feel that part and parcel of our business is to fulfil that responsibility. Over the years we’ve developed a number of initiatives designed to deal with our corporate responsibilities. What kind of management structure have you put in place since you arrived to ensure the implementation of corporate responsibility at Novartis?
