Is it possible to configure avast! Family edition so that it automatically deletes infected attachments on incoming emails?
No. This function is reserved for avast! Pro professional edition. If you are using avast! Professional edition take the following steps: 1. Start up avast! Pro using the enhanced interface. 2. In the left hand panel, click on TASKS. 3 In the right hand panel, right click on the task RESIDENT PROTECTION and select PROPERTIES. 4. In the bottom left corner, check the box ADVANCED CONFIGURATION. 5. Click on VIRUS in the section OUTLOOK/EXCHANGE or EMAIL (depending on the email provider you use). 6. Click on the button REMOVE LAST NOTE, then click DELETE. 7 Click on OK to save the changes.
