Is it possible to convert a Ford Expedition to manual shift?

0

I’ve noticed that the Ford F-150 resembles the Expedition and wondered if anyone has tried taking a manual shift conversion to this vehicle. They did manufacture the F-150 as manual shift at one time. A: Yes it is possible, provided it is a 4.6L Expedition (the 5.4L on an F-150 was never offered with a manual transmission). It WILL be costly though. You would require the transmission, transfer case, clutch and brake pedal assemblies, the shifter itself, the hydraulic system for the clutch, the PCM, as well as some additional wiring, at the very least. My question would be WHY you would want to convert this to a manual transmission? The search for all the parts needed will NOT be easy, since there weren’t too many V8 F-150s sold with a manual transmission. Hope this helps.
