Is it possible to paint a laminate countertop?
Yes, you can paint a laminate counter. Scrub the heck out of it, then scuff-sand it to take off the gloss, then paint several layers of acrylic paint, then top with several layers of clear acrylic varnish. It’s good for a couple of years at least. Sponged on faux marble looks pretty good this way. As for the sink … check in the hardware stores. I used a cleaner that would totally remove all kinds of crud, but I don’t remember the name.
