Is it possible to use Windows Media Player 9 as an embedded media player with Mozilla (i.e. so that videos play in the browser window rather than in an external player window)?
Windows Media Player 9 maintains a list in the registry of programs that it will work from so the fix is to add mozilla.exe as key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ShimInclusionList in the Windows registry. To access the registry, press the “Windows” and “R” keys simultaneously and type Regedit. Be careful what you change in the Registry as incorrect changes may damage your Windows installation!
