These ads imply that Boomers are going to live vigorous lives, even at age 100. They mock the notion that Boomers might spend their Golden Years on the shuffleboard court. The face of retirement is changing. A Boomer retiree is not likely to envision his or her retirement as shuffleboard or rocking on the front porch. The fact is that most of us no longer have a front porch we could rock on even if we wanted to. However, the new retirement ads also miss the point. Retirement is different for different people. As people live longer, “retirement” is not a short period of time, it can span three or four decades of time. W
