Is it safe to invade Cuba now that the Soviet Union has been dissolved?
What would be the purpose of such an invasion? It be nothing more than yet another expression of the hostility the US government has persistently taken against the Cuban people. One does not go around invading countries for the fun of it, unless one wants to create an empire of imperialists. All such empires eventually collapse, frequently leaving ruination, death, and destruction in their wake. WW1, for example, was little more than the violent spasms accompanying the death rattles of several empires. The US has: – Interfered in the internal affairs of the Cuban nation for decades prior to the revolution. – Carried out an economic embargo that has crippled Cuba and harmed its citizens. – Taken legal action against foreign nationals who have attempted to do business with Cuba.
