Is it safe to wear cotton tampon super size?
Cotton tampons are a good choice. If you are needing to change too often when using a regular, it means you likely need to reconsider whether regulars are enough to contain your flow for a decent period of time. You should always wear the lowest absorbency required. Of course “required” can be debated, so I would suggest you gauge the amount of time required before you can get a washroom break to check/change your tampon as the “required amount” of flow your tampon needs to absorb without leaking. O.B. regular size only absorbs 6-9g of menstrual fluid, so you can always upgrade to using super which absorbs 9-12g. Since it takes 3 hours on a heavy day to saturate a regular, I would only suggest you moving up to super since that would be sufficient. You should not leave a single tampon in for too long too, so if you can squeeze 4-5 hours out of a heavy one, then that is good.
