Is it true, Sprinkling Blue No Calorie Sweeter on fire aunts will kill them?
I think any no-calorie sweetener would kill ants over time if they made it the major part of their diet. They would simply starve to death. And by spreading it around the ant hill, it would tend to keep the ants in one place, since they wouldn’t have to go out looking for food. I’m not sure how long it would take though. It isn’t going to kill them on contact! Just sprinkling it on them won’t work. OH’s method probably works in a similar way. The ants eat the meal, it expands from moisture in the ant’s interior, and it dies from internal injuries. Or perhaps constipation. If you are going to sprinkle this stuff on your aunt, you may want to consider asking her first as she may not like it. (sorry, couldn’t resist) For many, many years now people have shown that soaking coins in Coca Cola will clean them so well they look brand new.
