When you are fertile depends on when YOU ovulate. Different women ovulate at different times during their cycle, and some even ovulate during their menstrual period (though this is rare). The ovulation days for a “perfect” cycle are days 13-17 (appx.), but very few woman have a “perfect” cycle. If you’re trying to figure out when the safest time would be for you to have sex without risking pregnancy, you have to track your ovulation cycle.This should be done with the help of a doctor if you want to do it accurately. There are also ovulation tracking kits sold by the pregnancy tests in just about every pharmacy. Even if you track when you ovulate one month, it may be different the next month, as most women, unless they are being regulated by a hormonal birth control, don’t have an identical cycle every month.
