Is Kramer (Seinfeld) the funniest character in the history of sitcom television?

I’m going to say yes, Kramer is the funniest sitcom character ever. Every episode he exhibits an almost supernatural flair for verbal and physical humour which is impossible not to laugh at and never looks artificial. No matter who else was in the scene they would be the straight guy next to Kramer, he’s the only person who can make walking through a door funny! Michael Richards has won 3 Emmys for playing the role and was sometimes met with a roud of applause when the kooky Kramer would enter a scene (mainly the fourth and fifth season) and had the audience not have been banned from doing it it would’ve continued until the final episode. I know Richards is now infamous for his sordid matue years but there’s no doubt that his interpretation of Kramer made him the funniest character in TV history.
