Is liquid METACAM better from a dosing point of view than tablets?
There are several NSAIDs on the market, but the liquid formulation of METACAM Oral Suspension facilitates dosing dogs of any weight. Rigid tablets must be given whole or split in half to get somewhat close to a weight level. When tablets are split, the incremental weight changes can vary by as much as 25 lbs, resulting in under- or overdosing. Liquid METACAM offers especially convenient dosing for dogs whose weights fall between the levels on tablet dosing charts.
