Is LiquidLan a file-sharing network?
No, not exactly… The Windows operating system provides all the networking services used by LiquidLan. When multiple computers running Windows are placed on the same physical network, they are commonly referred to as a “Windows Network”. These Windows Networks provide the underlying file sharing network used by LiquidLan. LiquidLan has no control over these networks, nor does it provide new functionality to them. Everything is created and managed by software shipped with Windows, and end-users can share files with or without LiquidLan. For reasons why users may wish to use LiquidLan instead of a pure Windows interface, refer to the next question.
