Is MI/X implementing X11R5 or X11R6?
MI/X 4.0 is X11R6, based on XFree86 4.3 1.8 Q: What extensions does MI/X support. A: MI/X supports the following extensions: • BIG-REQUESTS • DOUBLE-BUFFER • Extended-Visual-Information • GLX • MIT-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD • Multi-Buffering • RENDER (in fullscreen mode only) • SGI-GLX (just an alias for GLX) • SHAPE • SYNC • XAnti • XC-APPGROUP • XC-MISC • XFree86-BigFont • FontCache • XFree86-Misc • XINERAMA (If you have more than one monitor) MI/X also supports backing store, save unders and font servers. In rootless mode, it also supports “focus follows mouse” and “Auto-raise window on mouse focus” options. The Shared Memory extension is also available, but only useful for local clients (for obvious technical reasons, the client and server have to be on the same machine to share memory). The XINERAMA extension allows clients to detect that you have multiple monitors and query their geometries. This is only meaningful if you actually have more than one monitor.
