Is mineral spirits and turps the same thing ?.
Mineral spirits and mineral turps aren’t quite the same thing (both distillation products of petroleum with a little different makeup, both contain a mixture of many of the same solvents but in different proportions) but for the uses in the workshop you could consider them interchangeable. Mineral spirits is also known as white spirits or Stoddard solvent which you will see listed on many of the msds as a solvent in finishes.
