No way! Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a classic. The girls in your class obviously have a bad taste in movies. It is silly but in an intelligent way. It is quite clever.

Almost everything by Monty Python is silly, but that doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining and thought-provoking. If you like the King Arthur legend, there’s plenty of it referenced in the film. There’s a bit of sexual humor in it… some religious humor… and quite a bit of nonsense. I highly recommend it be seen at least once. The humor’s not quite as cutting edge as it used to be, now that movies like ‘Scary Movie’ have become commonplace, but at the time this movie came out, this was about as cutting edge as humor got. It’s my second favorite Monty Python film (behind ‘Life of Brian’, which is in a class all by itself, as far as I’m concerned).
